Oh boy. I don't even know where to begin! Yesterday was the BIG Relay for Life in my hometown. My mom is in charge of luminaries, so I (being the wonderful daughter that I am...lol) volunteered to help all day with her. I'm also a co-capt. so I had to be there anyway. Well, I was at the track from about 9am yesterday until 7am today. I was able to go home for an hour and half to eat and shower. At any rate, the luminaries looked beautiful, especially the HOPE my dad and I spelled out in the bleachers. We had over 800 this year! That ceremony is my favorite. I love the RFL so much just because you can feel the community support. So many of my family has had cancer or has died from it. It means a lot to me.

BUT, there are rants from last night. Since I'm the youngest on the team I always volunteer to spend the night out there. It's supposedly a rule that someone has to be present from each team at all times. My best friend from high school usually stays out there, but he bailed on me way early (like midnight) because he was cold. We all were! He knew it was coming. He goes every year. But he left me out there alone to freeze. Thankfully my mom came by soon afterwards and stayed with me. I had oodles of layers of clothing on and three blankets. I was still freezing even after all of that! I squeezed in maybe 2 hours of sleep on the cold ground. I left early to go home. Surprisingly I'm wide awake right now.

So Jeremy is in town again. Yippee! He stopped by briefly before heading to Brad's wedding. Afterwards we're going out to Broad Ripple. Maybe tonight we'll run into Kevin Bacon Man! And I get to wear my new AE shirt I just bought. (It's sad, but I just really like it because it brings out my tan. How superficial is that?)

Hehe. I'm off to tan and shop for some drinks for tonight. (Non alcohol of course! LOL)
