stephen coblert defined the Decemberists as "hyperliterate prog-rock." hahahahaha. i still haven't heard the new album. i'm told that i shouldn't be concerned about that.
in other news I saw Mabou Mines' Dollhouse directed by Lee Brewer in which the set was actually a dollhouse with miniature furniture and all the men were played by midgets and both women were almost six feet. Also, Lee Brewer is fucking crazy brilliant. I wish I could explain, but you'd really have to see it. And a few nights ago I saw Edward Scissorhands the ballet directed, adapted, and choreographed by...MATTHEW BOURNE. Crap. The dancing was brilliant, but I've got some complaints about the adaptation, but it was quite a beautiful thing to see. On Wednesday Wiley and I had a rave in the Hammer, and also I puked all over westwood (literally) INCLUDING INSIDE OF JOSE B'S. Goodbye cruel quarter, I'm leaving you today. Be home tonight around nine. Come to my house around ten or eleven for drinks! seriously.
