Vet is coming at 12.30. I'm Paypal-ing the cash to Lisa so she can pay for it without having to sacrifice her grocery bill for her family. I don't exactly have the cash myself, but I don't also have a family of four to feed, and the Hamburglar has agreed I shall not starve.
Post-Vet Update:
Vet weight taped her at 720lbs. Apparently in our freezingness, we didn't do it quite right last night.
Calista's heart sounded good, and her temperature was fine.
The twitching is from the starvation, and the vet will be emailing us a detailed diet plan for both of them. We've been given a list of things to look for and do and avoid to make sure their organs don't shock and shut down, but the vet was hopeful.
Vet recommended we put them on Empower as they recover, so they get the supplements and minerals they need.
As far as the little guy's head tilt, she said it looks like old trauma or a learned behaviour from lack of muscle. She asked that we keep an eye on it, and we can certainly do more in the future if it appears to be a constant or get worse. For today, though, she was mostly concerned with getting them stabilised and on a recovery plan.
