From a long silence...

Wow, I find it difficult to believe that i haven't written a blog since the Virginia Tech Shooting and The Don Imus fiasco.  But, yet it is true.   But, I have a pretty good reason to write.  I have been nominated for the WFU HomeComing Court!!!  My excitement at the honor is odd to me, because I feel the least like Wake Forest student.  I do not fit into the mold, but then again thats what really excites me.  But, I have alot to write about...and this is a place holder for some deeper insights into life.

Much Love and Vote For Me Deacons!!!

A Poem for your Thoughts:

It’s Been Awhile

It’s been awhile…since I set my pen to paper…

My heart to pulsating rhythm…

Rhythm of words…

Words that walk,

That talk,

That feel…feel the pain that I feel…

Words that cry when I cry,

Scream my screams…

Shout from the mountaintops…

From King’s grave shouting,

“Free at Last, Free at Last…”

Those are words that I want…

I miss them like a child…

Misses a dead parent…

They were my spillway…for my…brain.

Flooded with thoughts, drowning in emotions…

I am full again…

Inundated

It’s sad…

I am the one who helps everyone else…

And I can’t decipher what is real…

I live the life of a hypocrite…

Who am I…to tell anything to anyone?

But, people still trust me…

So words, do your healing work…

Carry the tears that will remain uncried…

To the God who cares…

It’s been awhile…since I set my pen to paper…

My mind to pulsating rhythm

Dancing a dance, forbidden…with my heart

Words that form the music…

The notes…

The sounds…

The score…of the movie of my life

So write I will…to continue to chime in…

To sing along with the music of my spirit.
