Dear Burgess (lol!)
In my life right now: The thing that is most important to me is my family and FRIENDS. I really depend on my friends, and my sister and brother. I value my life and everything I have to offer. If I had to choose one person in my life that I truly value, it would be my sister. I can tell her anything, and no matter how bad I am feeling- she can always make me smile. She has always been there for me, and I know she always will be. I believe that I should live each day, as if it were my last- as if there were no tomorrow. And, I believe that our background makes us who we are, but we are responsible for what we become. I also believe that every minute spent angry is sixty second of wasted happiness. Some people think of things that are and ask why, I dream of things that aren't, and ask why not. I think the best singers of all time are Tupac Shakur and Garth Brooks. Every one of their songs has meaning to it; like "The Dance" (Garth). And, the truth of Tupac's quote, "Only God can judge me." I believe Life should be left to chance, and what is the point of life, if you don't take any chances?? I want to be a lawyer, and live in Colorado. I know I have to work hard, but I think I can be anything I want, if I work hard enough. I think I have learned more in this past year, than I have in my entire life. I have learned who I am, and who I want to be. I have also learned many things, good and bad, about the people I have been going to school with since kindergarden; some of these things have completely taken me by surprise- I never would have thought... I know I have done/ tried a lot of new things this year, but I do not regret any of it, because I have learned from it all. I am very confident in myself, because I make decisions for me, and nobody else. I do not let other people influence the way I dress, act, etc. I am ME, and nobody can change that! I have been learning day by day. I continue to grow more mature and wiser. I have laughed, and I have cried, and life has been fun so far! Me RIGHT NOW: My best friend is Aleia Huff, and we spend EVERY weekend together! We are like sisters. We have been through a lot together this year. But, we always have so much fun! She cracks me up, she is my "girl-friend" -hehe! (Inside joke!) I love to party, and hangout with friends. I LOVE TO SKI! I do not have a boyfriend right now but I have a lot of "guy-friends". Last of all, here are some quotes that have inspired me: "No guy is worth shedding tears over; the only one who is will never make you cry." -All girls should remember this! "It is better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you're not." -Be yourself! "Your life can change with every breath you take." -That is SO true. These are things that I have learned: You can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. You should always leave loved ones with loving words; it my be the last time you see them. No matter how bad your heart is broken. the world doesn't stop for your grief. You shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret; it could change your life forever. Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different. Lastly, The people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon. The saying that has the most meaning to me, the one I try to live by, is: "When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling; live your life so that when you die, you are the one smiling and everyone around you is crying."
