May Crown
We just got back from May Crown. It was a great event. The tourney had about 88 fighters (with a large number of knights). Our new crown prince is Tiernan and the silver rose went to Sven.
My primary goal was just to finally get into armor and fight. I did far better than I should have considering how out of shape I am and my lack of practice.
I got to the 8th round and tied for 6th (I think). The fighting was good. I lost my last two fights. First to Duke Sven (in a very good fight) and second to Duke Cedric.
The things I need to work on are keeping my focus going and getting back my precision and speed. I need more practice to get some crispness back into my fighting. As I mentioned to someone at the event, I found I was going from being on the balls of my feet to falling back on my heels (both physically and mentally).
But, I had fun and it was a good practice for me.
