My mum came up to visit me (bearing wine and chocolate :-) ) and we spent Saturday having a lovely walk over some hills, and admiring some bluebells.
On Sunday we went to the races at Worcester with a colleague and her friend. I managed to pick three winners! This does not mean I am rich as I only ever place very small bets (the smallest allowed) but I did end up with more than money that I orginally bet :-) It was great to be out in great company, and it has cheered me up no end.
I spent most of Monday asleep, and yesterday I even did some hoovering!
Needless to say I am now looking to fill my Mondays and Tuesdays with work, and I am seeing a nice lady about that tomorrow...
Jason has very kindly agreed to accompany me to three shows at the local theatre, which gives me something to look forward to. Two of them are comedy evenings, and we have very carefully selected seats nowhere near the stage (us paranoid?)
If any of you guys fancy a silly film that involves tanks at 20 paces, I can recommend XXX2.
