"Heidi, Heidi...deine Welt sind die Berge..."

Jul 14, 2008 22:00

At 11:00 we set off in Rheinfelden, to join my brothers friend and his family in Diepolz in the Algäu. The next few days we will go on daytrips walking through the wonderful contryside. The german alps around here must be nice to look at, but today the whether was not that good. I was the first on the steering wheel. We went through the whole of switzerland to the Bodensee and over a pass. It rained like judgement day and I got annoyed about everything. But I kept it to myself and in the end it was alright. Benni took over and from that point I didn't get angry anymore...just sick. The streets where narrow and winded down the mountain. Konsti and I got a headache. But in the end it was all worth it. We are sleeping in an old school house 1000 meters over sea level. There is a museum about hillfarmers and an adventure play area for the kids. After unpacking the car we went for a walk in the mountains and Konsti and Ollis children built a dam on one of the local streams. After supper we made a fire in our oven and sat around talking...neither having Internet nor TV is strange at first...but you quickly get used to it.
