*Last* weekend, actually
So. Last weekend. Not only did I get to go to Wine & Jazz with some cool kids from my high school (behold the weirdness that is Charleston), I got to see some live jazz at Sam's (great), Wine & Jazz (surprisingly just okay), and Capitol City Roasters (freaking *phenomenal*); get tipsy on port wine; get complimented by girls who either thought they were better than me or didn't deign to speak to me in high school (ha!); catch up with the first gay person I ever met; make fun of the highly *sexual* facial expressions of Ryan Kennedy whilst playing guitar; go out for "drunk food" at Fazoli's; explain what a blowjob shot is (to one of the coolest guys in my high school); meet a super-cool, super-cute brunette; find out a sort-of-friend from GW is getting his Ph.D. in *astrophysics*, and spend the *entire* night (up until I had to run home to change for work) catching up with a guy from my old drumline who I haven't seen in six years (which was one of the best things I've done in a long, long time).
Much as I hate Charleston, it certainly has its surreal moments.
