My brain is on fire.

Seriously.

I want to make a movie now that actually glorifies/encourages all these things, rather than merely useing them as themes or story elements.

..even thats not enough.

Argh.

Welcome to my world. Being the Black Sheep..

I don't know who you are, but I like your response ^_^

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.

The list totally forgot that when the government tries to implement a *little* control over firearms, a bunch of rednecks who want their uzis and their semi-automatics and their rifles scream 2nd amendment. If you didn't want people to KILL each other, you'd think the logical thing to do would be to take away the implement of destruction. Silly list...

What bothers me the *most* in this email isn't even the ridiculousness of the NRA lobbby or the lack of correlation between many of these events (such as "promiscuous sex" and murdering other students), but instead the complete fabrication of many of these so-called "facts."

For example, O'Hare had nothing to do with the original case that "banned prayer in school;" that was Engle v. Vitale in 1962, and involved the daily reading and recitation of a "non-denominational" prayer. Even more obnoxious is the claim about child pornography. Pornography, and obscenity in general, has *never* but granted protection under the Constitution. Regulation of obscenity is a state matter (and also up to the interpretation of people on juries, of course.) Furthermore, child pornography is a felony offense and is no way considered "free speech." Never ever! Whoever wrote that part completely pulled that one of his/her ass.

>:/ Grrrrr.

On another note, how is Japan? :)

Wow. I hope that when I get to law school (*if* I ever get there), I get that good - right now I'm in the "everything I need to know about the law, I learned from Law and Order" phase.

Japan's good! It's... funny sometimes. The teacher I worked with taught my students the finger this week. @_@;;

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, classmates or even themselves.Because nobody knows how to bloody parent their children anymore! You want your kid to grow up moral and good? Then teach it that! Turn off the damn tv, don't give in to their whining about video games, teach them what actually happens to someone when you pull that trigger. Don't expect the rest of the world to do this for you ( ... )

As you are well aware, my parents made me go to church every sunday and I had to go to a Christian school from K through 7th grade. I wasn't allowed to watch He-Man, MTV, or The Smurfs. Now I am the very model of patrotism and traditional Christian values.

I think you should all feel lucky to be in the presence of such a fine, upstanding American.

The subtext is, All the suffering you have is because you wanted to find out what was going on. You could be in the Garden of Eden if you had just kept your fucking mouth shut and hadn't asked any questions."

I get that same email all the time. It makes me believe that God didn't actually write it, but that's my personal opinion.

Really, how are all the events even connected? I mean, are girls getting abortions and then killing their friends at school? People are retarded.

God.. Why are the people that wrote that such idiots? warder369 April 21 2005, 15:22:03 UTC
...cause every gene pool needs a shallow end.

a) Wow do some of those events have nothing to do with school shootings.

b) I like how they paint God as a powerless entity restricted in his behavior by our laws. Its easier for them to do that than actually question WHY their God choose not to intervene.

c) I also like how they seem to just forget to mention that 90% of the kids that bring guns to school do so because they are bullied and beaten up and outcast and none of the adults do anything to help them.

...I'd love to see what you wrote back to them in response hon.
