I felt tonight was a drinking night, even before I received the news I am about to divulge to you.
Lets just say, I had 1 grand Canyon, 1 Roadkill cafe, 2 Montereys and 1 Alcatraz. If you know my shotglass thing, you'll understand :)
Ahhhm, Cazadores. . .
So, My sales rep for my office had a little issue last night. Today, Matt, the head sales rep for our company, was up in the area to do a meeting with mitch (my sales rep) to one of our clients. Well, Mitch's grandmother took an unexpected illness, and Matt went home.
Or so it would seem. . .
Mitch called me around 630 ish, to tell me that he got mugged at knife point last night after he stopped by a club in downtown fresno. And the guy took his car too. Now, he lied to Matt, because he was embarrassed. He also lied to the police about the specifics of the robbery. He is convinced he is going to be fired, which seems unlikely, but he is, indeed, in quite a predicament. He has no car, and thus cannot do sales. But it would be heartless of the company to fire him. Yet he did lie about what happened.
Mitch is a good guy. A tad naive, corn fed farmers boy. But good guy nonetheless.
The curse continues.
1. The system we use for everything gets the plug pulled on it a few days before I move to visalia.
2. Dan (was going to be Visalia office manager) quits to start his own company.
3. Things I don't know about, but keep hearing that there were things I didn't know about going on. Oh yeah, we ended up shelling out .5 mil to get something settled with the old system.
4. Setbacks and setbacks with the new system getting set up.
5. When we finally get ready to open the Visalia office, the two main production guys in dublin quit.
6. More random drama I'm sure I don't even know about.
7. This thing with Mitch. Poor guy, I feel bad for him.
I already got the office manager position from Dan quitting. If I have to head up sales I'm going to go crazy. But I'll try anything once.
My thought is the company will help him out n a loan towards a car for him to drive. They'll deduct a little out of his paycheck.
Did anyone ever listen to radio disney in the late 90's and hear a show on fridays with a segment in it called the Amazing Mitch? If so, hat was him. He used to do radio. Then his father got sick, so he quit to move home to tracy.
Anyway, another segment in the work drama. Someday this won't be a worry to me, but until then. . .
