Holidays, Work, School, Pats, Etc.

So it's been awhile since I've updated, so I figured I'd do so.

Christmas was absolutely wonderful. Nice and low key for the most part. Everyone loved their gifts, which makes going overboard 100% worth it. I loved watching Mary open everything...it was probably a highlight. Dan uses his gift daily, which is great. He gave me a beautiful sapphire and diamond necklace. His parents bought me a cashmere sweater, a jacket, a bubble bath kit (complete with rubber ducky!), and a few other things. Christmas was just wonderful overall.

New Years eve was nice and low key. Rang in the new year the way I'm going to spend the rest of my life: with Dan. No big parties, not much drinking...of course that's all to be expected when you have to work the next day. Speaking of work: as of today I am officially no longer a manger. Thank God. I just got so sick of all that BS and crap that comes with working with a useless store manager. Just to give you an idea: I took last week as a vacation week so I could use up some of my vacation time...I had to fight him for the time (even though it was my right to take it and I gave him plenty of notice...) and he still called me TWELVE times during the week. I'm so glad to not have to put up with him as much...and to be able to say "not my responsibility" to half the crap he expected me to do. Yeah, I'm going to hate the pay cut and it's going to be strange only working 20-25 hours a week...but I'll have plenty of other stuff to keep me busy.

I'm so excited for classes to start this week. No one thought I was actually going back. Ok, scratch that. No one but Mary (and maybe Dan) truly believed I was going back. Thank you for having so much faith in me. I'm hoping now that I'm not working 45 hours a week I'll have a little extra time, and actually see my friends. Despite the fact that I'm awful with the phone and don't show it often, I truly do miss you guys.

The Patriots won today. By the skin of their teeth, but winning is winning! If they win against the Colts and make it to the Superbowl, I think I might co-host a Superbowl party with my sister. Feel free to let me know what all of you are up to, because I'm open to suggestions!

I've also started looking more seriously into wedding arrangements. My sister is psyched about my bachelorette party, despite the fact that it's over a year away. I'm just really looking forward to going out with the girls and figuring stuff out. I have time though.

Believe it or not, this is just a brief summary of things that have been going on in my life. I hope all is well with everyone out there. Believe it or not, I do miss you!!

But this has gone on for long enough. I'm going to go take something for this horrible tension headache and continue with my laundry!
