I made four bacon-wrapped quail for dinner tonight as an experiment. I think the verdict was universal: it tasted good, but getting the little scraps of meat off all those little tiny bones was really not worth the effort. I could have made bacon-wrapped chicken thighs and had a better return on my effort.
We ate it with lightly sauteed broccoli, steamed asparagus, and brown rice.
