The anti climax

So I finally got in to see the neurosurgeon on Monday. The previous Friday I had decided WTF, ima go in straight, stop all the drugs, let the spasms spazz, the nerve root roar, let him see all my symptoms in their native state. So Saturday-nothing. Hmmmmm, must be a pretty good build up, take a while for all that stuff to wear off. Sunday same deal. Monday, three hours in the car to see the specialist, still nothing. Hour and a half with the Dr. and review the MRI, he says "Damn glad you're feeling better cause I got no idea what caused all that. Let's get you some physical therapy."
So I guess three weeks of intense muscle relaxer, anti inflammatory and anti nerve seizure medication therapy coupled with 22 out of 24 hours horizontal promoted some self healing. I am, however, weak as a kitten and stiff as a board from seven weeks of very limited to almost no physical activity. I'm going to need this PT, and after a while I need to start back at the gym. It's amazing how fast you waste away at this stage of the game.
