Not Quite...

Meagara hissed, vicious and serpentine. The scrambling young thing across the room from her pressed himself into the wall wondering how in the world he'd crossed paths with an unhappy Maniai.

"What. are you. doing. here!" Each word was spit out like a dart and their unfortunate recipient winced as if the words themselves could dig into his flesh.

"S'..s'...i...it's my room..."

Gara hissed again, adding a growl and stalking closer.

The youngster gurgled in fright.

"Meagara!"

The stronger tone of the new voice made her spin around, eyes glowing. The light dulled on spying her mother.

"Mom ?"

Nyx walked calmly into the room, wrapped today in deepest blue, a soft clingy tulle that seemed likely to float away and leave her nude at any moment. She laid a gentle hand on her daughter's cheek and smiled beyond them both to the young boy trapped against the wall. She nodded him out.

The boy was gone in a flash.

"Gara, it's not his room anymore. Remember...he has a place with you, in that new...what do you call it again ?" Nyx wound her arm around the youngest Fury and started leading her out of the room. "But, I sent all his things there. It was time."

Gara blinked, calming somewhat. "You reassigned his room ?"

Nyx nodded calmly. "Well, it was just an empty space with all his belongings gone. Are you going to come for dinner dear, or do you have an assignment to go to. I'll call for him if you'd come to invite him. Where ever he's gone off hiding, he usually hears me. He always has before."

"No..." Gara shook her head. "I might know where he is." She paused, somewhat disorientated. "Did you have a special dinner planned ?"

Nyx kissed her cheek softly. "Not for today, dear. You all were rather a surprise. Besides, your sister has gone looking for Ares."

Gara snapped back to herself instantly. "She's made up her mind ?" It never occurred to her that Alecto hadn't discussed things with their mother.

Nyx led her Gara slowly out of the room, and down along the corridor. "Not yet. I sent her to talk with him. They need to. Although..." She glanced at the room they'd just left. "Do you have objections if her decision is to stay ?"

Gara looked at her mother genuinely puzzled. "Why would I have any objections ?" She kissed Nyx's cheek quickly and leapt onto a nearby window ledge. "Be back soon." Meagara let herself fall, in moments her wings appeared with a snap, black feathers reflecting the various fires in the citadel. With a gently twist her form was soon headed towards the base of the fortress and the mountainous crooks and crannies there.

Nyx watched her for a moment before turning away to head back towards her main hall. "Why indeed."
