Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me... *lol*
Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, it was very much appreciated. Isn't it funny how things seem to sneak up on you? I'd forgotten how close it was until I had to look at something else and went 'I need to do that on the 18th... oh, wait. That's my birthday' *lol*
I was actually born on Father's Day. In fact, Dad will still sometimes insist that my birthday is really on Father's Day. According to him, whenever Father's Day is, then shall my birthday be. Hey, you never knew birthdays could be movable feasts, did you? *g*
It was weird actually to have Father's Day yesterday without my parents around. Usually we go out for a meal on that Sunday - partly for him, partly for me. This year they were of course still in the Lake District so we didn't. I had the day to myself.
Unfortunately, I do still have to work today. Alas, no taking the day off, although it was tempting. That may have something to do with the fact that today's task is to proof-read the bibliography though. Necessary certainly, but not the most intellectually challenging of tasks. Ho hum... never mind.
