Here we are again, Me and my best bud, Hikaru Yaotome, in the video game store, playing call of duty. It's a harsh game so don't think about playing it especially if you're nervous-type-of-person.
It's 2:30! Damn, we enjoyed playing and lost track of time. Damn.
"Hika! It's 2:30, we're late!"
"Wha-whaaat?!" then he looked at his wristwatch.
"Crap, come on!" I was shocked when he grabbed my arm then we both run for our lives.

"x2+3x..." I heard my math teacher, said those equations in my classmates. I looked at Hika.
"Uhm, here's the plan. When the time he writes on the board, immediately go to your sitting place, while me, well, I'll try my best." well, 'coz he sits in the front row so that it'll be easy for the teachers to scold him since our teachers named him as the most "noisy student".
I nodded.
"Go!"
I immediately went to my sitting place as fast as I can. Wheew! I looked at Hika and he also succeeds in sitting in his place.
Our teacher stopped writing then faced us, his students.
"Ehm, Mr. Yaotome Hikaru and... Ms. Yukino Maki" he said while raising his eyebrows.
"YOUR LATE! GET OUT OF MY CLASSROOM! We'll talk later in the Guidance Office. NOW GET OUT!!" he said, his face is red because of angriness. Hika and I stood up then immediately went out in the classroom, laughing.

"Hahahah! Did you see his face?"
I laughed as Hika as he follow the expression of our math teacher earlier.
"Hahaha! Stop it." I said as I continue to laugh.
"You know, we must do this every day."
"Duh? We do this every day. Gosh, I'm so sorry for mom, I'll fail Math because of this."
"Don't worry! We can have some tutorials in your house. You know I'm a genius." I laughed. Well, he's very smart especially in Math so it's not a problem for him at all.
"Hmmm. I'll think of it."
"No! Don't think of it. Your mom will be happy for sure." he said, grinning.
"Fine then." he throws his fist in the air
"YES!"
I laughed.
"Why you are so happy? You're always in our house you know."
"Well, nothing. Hahaha!" I sweat dropped.
"I'm hungry, let's go to the canteen." he said as I nodded. I'm hungry too you know.
So we went to canteen. We talked there until 5:00, until we decide to go to the Guidance office. There, we met our teacher. He scold at us of course, then when he's done scolding us, me and Hika say sorry and promise that we'll never do that again, then leave.
WELL, PROMISES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN.
As usual, Hikaru is in our house, well, he’s always there, you know; it’s like his daily routine. If only we can adopt him… as a pet, then it’ll be okay. I don’t know why he always wants to go here in our house, we only do one thing here and that is playing video games till evening. But now, it’ll be different. Instead of playing video games, we will study Mathematics. Hahaha. I need to tease him. WUHAHAH.
So now, we’re in the dining table, notebooks and books are everywhere.
“So, here’s the parabola-“he said, as he draw a parabola thing. I looked at him and smiled. I guess he noticed me smiling at him.
“What? Is there’s something wrong with my face?”
“No, it’s just that, you’re very weird for a teacher.” He laughed.
“I know that.” I laughed.
“Oh come on Maki, let’s study.”
“No.”
“I’ll tickle you.”
“Go on.” Then he start tickling me, he know my weak points, dammit. Then I looked at him, I didn’t know that our face we’re already one inch apart.
“I got you.” He said, smirking. I blushed.
“A-ano, it’s 7:30, we-we must study. Yeah.” I said. My heart is beating fast.
“Yeah, you’re right. Well, I proved something tonight.” I looked at him, curious.
“That I’m the tickling-king!” I sweat dropped.
“Yeah, whatever. So now, start your blabbering about the parabola.” I said to him, he nodded and start teaching me about those things. My heart Is still beating fast.
So, Hika, as usual, go to our place, every day. Even Saturdays and Sundays! And of course, during school days, we are always in the Guidance Office. Glad that we passed our Math exam so it means they can’t kick out us. Thanks to Hika. Glad to have a best friend like him. It’s summer and Hika is always in our house, we play video games until morning, It’s like his hobby, to go in our place until…
“Maki, your grandpa called me…” my mom said, she’s washing the dishes.
“Grandpa! Ohh, how I miss the two of them, what did he say?” I asked my mom excitedly. It’s been a year since my last visit to them.
“He said that your grandma miss you so much that she wants to see you… they want you to have some vacation there.” I widened my eyes! How I miss Osaka! I’ll go there of course!
“REALLY?!! I MISS OSAKA SO MUCH!” I said, smiling widely.
“And the letter of them arrived today,” she said, as she wiper her hands in her apron then went to the cabinet and get something there. It’s an envelope.
“Here.” My mom said, handing me the envelope.

“It’s your train tickets. You’ll leave this evening.”
“This---this evening? Yaaay!” I’m so happy!
“I’m going to pack my bags mom, YES!” I said happily as I immediately went to my room.
Then I remember Hikaru.
I get my cellphone; I’m excited to tell him the news.
“The number you dialed is unattended or out of coverage area…”
“eh?! Where is he? Geez, I’ll just call him later then.” I put down my cellphone then starting packing my things.
In the train station

Geez, Hikaru!!!
The train is now giving this loud noise. TSK!
“Mom, I guess it’s our boarding time, please just tell Hikaru that I’m in Osaka and that… I’m going to miss him.” I said, forcing a smile. Tsk that dork!
“Hai, the train will leave soon, take care. Just call me if you’re already there.” I nodded. I kissed my mom in the cheek then went inside the train.
“Hika…” I said, for the last time then went inside.
Hikarus’s POV
*Pant *Pant Damn, why do I need to be a chaperone now? And why did I forgot to charged my phone?! Dammit.
I ran, I pray that the train is still there. Geez. Then the train that is heading for Osaka is now 10 meters away from me. SHIT!
I looked at the train and cursed. Sweat is all over in my face. Well, I ran 10 km.
She hasn’t say goodbye. Tsk.
I looked at the train for the last time, and then leaved.
Maki’s Pov
I open my bag then look for my phone. I saw it then when I was to call Hikaru, a beautiful words pop up on the screen…
“Low Battery”
Shit. Why now?!
End
Next day
Maki is now in Osaka, she was welcomed by her grandpa and her grandma, she ate her lunch then after that she charged her cellphone then dialed Hikaru’s number.
“Ring… Ring…”
“MAKI!”
“Oh, Hikaru! A-ano, gomene if I haven’t said good bye to you…” I said, finding exact words to say.
“I’m the one who supposed to say sorry.” Then we were silent.
“I miss you.” I was shocked, and then I can feel my cheeks burning.
“I miss you too buddy.” I said as I faked a laugh.
“Uhm, by the way, I’ll not use my cellphone here since I’m going to be busy in this few days, especially in my grandpa’s garden. So maybe this will be our last call for now?”
“Really?” I can feel his sad voice.
“Cheer up! When I come back, we will play Call of Duty 24 hours a day!” I said to him, laughing. “And It’s just one month, you can have some fun there in Tokyo while I’m not there. Find some girlfriends!” I said.
“Well, I’ll try, I really don’t know.”
“Geez Hika. Well, I need to go now. Ja’ne. Take care buddy!” I said as we both hung up the phone.
How many days passed
Hikaru’s POV
I’m now again, for 25th time looking at their house. I don’t know. My life feels so incomplete without her. Her laughs, her sweet and kind words, I miss everything about her. Without her here makes my life 50% incomplete.
I looked at their house for the last time then went to a park where me and Maki always go when we’re child.
Am I in love with her?
I can’t sleep at night thinking about her. I can’t stop worrying about her.
Hikaru, what’s wrong with you?
Few days passed
Maki’s POV
I’m now in Tokyo! Days passed so quickly! I’m now in the house, unpacking my things when I heard my cellphone rang.
It’s Hikaru.
“Moshi moshi.”
“Maki, let’s play here in Shiro Video Game Center. I’ll wait for you.”
“Eh?!” then he hung up the phone. He’s really a crazy guy. Then I went to the Shiro video game center and I saw him playing Call of Duty. We’re just 5 people in the video game center. Well, its summer you know so it means less money.
“Oh, you’re already here, let’s play!”
“Oh, how I miss this!” then I sat beside him.
We played until Hikaru’s character is in danger. The opponent killed his character!
“Waaah! Did you feel it?”
“The bullet that hit your character?” Silly Hikaru, he even can feel the bullet that hit his character!
“No, did you feel how much I loved you?” I blushed. He looked at me direct in my eyes then he held my hands.
“I know that you’ll be shocked about this but it’s just that when you leaved me, I feel this emptiness in my heart. I don’t know why, I just realized that I loved you. You know the feeling when you just woke up in the morning and you just stare blanky at the ceiling like you’ve completely lost your mind, all because you miss someone.” I blushed.
“I love you Maki. I-I’ll never asked to love me too---“ I cut his word by hugging him tight.
“I love you too Hikaru.” He hugged me back.
“You don’t know how happy I am.” He said, hugging me again.
“Don’t leave me. My life would not be complete, and of course useless without you Maki.” He said.
Isn’t that great? My best bud is now my boyfriend! That’s Hikaru Yaotome, the love of my life. My life is not complete without him.
