5 days til Hawaii!
Yay - only 5 more days (including today) until dustinw and I ship out to Hawaii to visit his sister for two relaxation filled weeks! I'm just starting to get excited now that it's feeling more real. We've said we were going for ages, but it took us a long time to get our act together and book a flight. Since we're staying with someone we don't really have to plan anything else (though one of the project managers at dustinw's work offered us her twice tested 14 page hour by hour itinerary just in case). I feel like I ought to do some research, but I also kind of want to just go and let it all surprise me. My vacation strategy is usually to end up somewhere, get up in the morning and wander around for hours and hours exploring randomly until it's time to go to sleep. It's weird, I know, but I like discovering things and seeing what my life might be like if I lived somewhere else.
In other news, for anybody who likes plants, there are two cool sales this weekend. The first is Karin & Greg's seedling sale this Saturday, May 19th from 9 am -12noon, at 508 Duke St. W, Kitchener. They're mostly selling crazy heritage tomato plants (pink ones, stripey ones, green ones, strange bulbous ones, etc.), but they've got some other veggies and herbs too. On Sunday there's an annual native plant sale at Diversity Gardens in St. Agatha. I'm currently obsessed with native plants and am super-hyped for that one. We're going to try and plant the entire kitchen garden on Saturday/Sunday before we leave - should be fun.
