I really have a home this time!

Had the inspection today on condo 2.0, and it went well! No horrible structural issues, no water damage, no insect evidence, and a lovely, well-constructed roof. :) While I was there I started envisioning how I shall arrange my furniture, and I think I have a perfect plan, yay! I found out today that I'm getting a raise in May, *double yay* so I think I shall purchase a full-sized grown-up bed--I am *SO* over the twin bed thing, though I was grateful to have it when I got it, as I literally slept on the hardwood floor on a sheet for the first few weeks after moving to Chicago(then I had an air mattress, and that was high livin' ;) ). We've gotten two big new clients in the last two weeks, and best of all, they found US on the internet--guess all that time I spent putting our name on superpages.com etc. is paying off!

But back to me and my marmalade-drenched fantasies.

Fantasy #1: I enjoy lovely marmalade toast triangles while adjusting my thermostat to the EXACT degree I want.

Fantasy #2: I enjoy lovely marmalade toast triangles while baking fresh chocolate chip scones in my BRAND NEW OVEN.

Fantasy #3: My friends and I enjoy lovely marmalade toast triangles while introducing them to the wondrousness of !TROLL 2!

Oh June...when will you arrive?

In the meantime, I get to go to a massive Italian wedding (my boss's) next weekend, with a super swanky downtown reception after with full meal and open bar and dancing, yay funsies! Check this shit out:

Looks nice, and yummy!

NEXT weekend, on the 21st, The Fellowship of the Wheel has its inaugural ride! It was going to be this Saturday, but since it's decided to be freakishly cold, I have postponed it for (hopefully) warmer weather. This gives me time to install my new Disney/Kellogg's cyclometer, which I got for free by eating lots of Crispix. ;) It (supposedly) tracks distance and speed, so I'll be totally hardcore.

We're going on a 5 mile ride along the North Shore Channel path from Lincoln Square to Skokie, where we will end for lunch at an Afghan restaurant at 12:30:

Let me know if you want to join us for biking AND/OR lunch, and I'll send you more details!

NOW I'm going out on the town for tapas (tasty!) and revelry, hooray! Laterz...

tasties, bikesies, marmalade
