I know it's been a few months. Nothing really eventful happened, except for me flying out to Illinois on May 24th for UFGT9. Which was absolutely fantastic, by the way! I felt like I was in my element because I was around people that also share a deep love for video games. When I first arrived at the hotel, I was so ecstatic to see Jamie because it felt marvelous to have yin and yang together again. To me, the party felt complete. Before coming out, I told him that I would make up for the last time we met up. I think I did an excellent job. (Wouldn't you say so yourself? I know you were just as happy as I was.) Meeting Kendra was fucking awesome, I love the girl. She is the shit, for rill.
I saw my dear friend Chris W. from Highschool and a friend of his. This guy was definitely on my grill that Friday night. Yeah, it felt overwhelming and super creepy.
Oh yes, after like 14 or so years I finally got to meet the most awesome Dennis Quiba! It was about damn time! We spent all of the third day together just hanging out and he was telling me the most intriguing things about fighting games and the FGC as a whole. We were drinking this highly alcoholic beverage called "Apple Pie" as we walked around the venue, heh. For the last night, we all went out to dinner at the Crowne Plaza's restaurant, Chicago Brick Oven. I had this delicious chicken pesto sandwich, I was pleased with it. So here's a blurry picture of the food.
Divekick was fun, watching Jamie rape everybody in casuals was fun. Above all, meeting some of the most astonishing people EVER was a blast. Just said goodbye to everyone, love you guys. But yeah, I'm the last one to leave.
So now, it's time for me to return to my hometown. Chris Walker is gonna be here fairly soonish.
It's been real, room 626. Thanks for the memories.
