Vday was a wash....
The weather was horrible, Cole's school was closed and basically I got no work done.
It's soo hard for me to work with him home. I can't really make calls or take conf calls. He loves to come in the office and hang with me. Mark ran to target to get some stuff and Cole was acting up...he was in timeout twice yesterday. I think (as always) his teeth are buggin him as he is constantly chewing on his fingers or whatever. Mark got him down for nap and I tried to be productive.
I had nothing for Mark for Vday...Im soo bad...he got me a card and some chocolates and a card from my baby boy! We decided to do a family dinner and went to a hibachi place. Cole was sooo good, he ate a ton of edamame and was real good aabout trying things. He ate alot which hasn't been the norm lately. Came home and put him to bed...Mark and I settled in for a movie and I picked the worst movie ever. We were watching the Last Kiss and it just was about everyone cheating etc... we ended up in a silly spat and I he went downstairs to play video games. After the movie I just went to bed ... Not our finest Valentine's day by far...
Of course we are fine today and he got me coffee and a donut this morning!
Mark has this week -- ripped up the gross carpet in Cole's room, prepped the walls, painted the room a gorgeous blue, replaced all the outlet covers with childproof ones and put a dimmer switch, and selected and ordered the carpet all in a few days.
I love when he is not working because of all the stuff he gets done and how unstressed he is...the money thing sucks though :) We have a ton of Amex points and are using them to get Cole's furniture so as soon as they come we can order it! We might get him a trundle bed twin, dresser, bookshelf and bedding. His theme is the Board Shorts from PBK. A windsurfer like his Daddy. Its the only thing I thought he could grow with and that Mark and I both loved. I can't wait to get some of his toys (train table) out of our living room and working on the bed transition...
Tomorrow I have off. We are going to court to evict the non-paying tenants in Belmar and then have a pm appt for our taxes. Please hope we get some money back...Our house in Belmar has been on the market forever and without the tenants and a little work to make pretty we are hoping to sell it soon....we need to sell it soon. The capital gains exclusion runs out in September and we need to get this sold. Mark now has time to focus on getting this sold and our apartments in PA. I am done being a landlord for now!
