...date night...

Usually date night is my doing. I simply say, "don't make any plans, we're going out on a date [insert night here].

Eric called me while on his lunch break yesterday.
" I should be getting off at 4, want to go get dinner and see a movie?"
Aaaaaw. My husband asked me out on a date.

We had dinner at Denny's, cuz I was hungry for it.
Then we went and saw "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning".
Here's my review. It's filmed the same way the originals were. Fast panning, in your face shots. No real movie land effects. Old fashioned all the way. And in my opinion, it was like watching the original movie with different characters.
Save your money, rent the DVD.
We stopped at the comic book store too, came home with $20 worth of comics (Haunted Mansion and Nightmare's & Fairy Tales) and a new Lenore Zippo lighter.

Thursday we went to Greenfield Village with Eric's parents. My feet were killing me by the time we left from 5 hours of walking. I picked up a really cool enameled clay shallow dish though. It'll be great for butter or jam when we have company.

Work Update: I have several resumes out there, so far no real bites, but I did decide to go ahead and apply at Target. Eric works at the Commerce Twp store, so I went to the Wixom store to apply. They're about the same distance from home. And Wixom is closer to my sister's place. So, if I work there and have a kid, easy drop off for her to babysit. hehe. I like working in an office, but I've always enjoyed retail too. Could have something to do with growing up in my dad's hardware store and working there from age 16- 23. (not continueously after I turned 19 though)

I have 3 days left of my vacation. One of them I have to spend on my accounting work. Maybe tomorrow. Eric has to work late again and the only other thing I need to get done is laundry.

I went grocery shopping today. Monday & Tuesday I'm making enchilada's and chili (from scratch) and a batch of bread pudding. I've been craving all 3 of them and I love to make them. My kitchen looks like a tornado hit it when I'm done putting it all together, but it's worth it.

That's it for now. Don't forget to sign up for your Giftmas card!
