California Dreamin'
Driving home in the rain late last night, I was travelling west on a road that could have taken me all the way to San Francisco.
For about 5 seconds, I considered it.
I often get that feeling during night drives. I don't know what it is about an empty highway, with my headlights the only lights I can see, that makes me want to just take off for parts unknown. I've never taken the great American roadtrip, at least not since I've been able to drive. Maybe I'm just tired of being anchored in one place.
I'm really looking forward to next year. It'll be good to get out there again.
