New Kitty

Wow, lots happened over the weekend. For once. My friend Brent was thrown in the clink for unpaid fines and treated like a dog--sober as a judge in the drunk tank. It's pretty great, because a beligerant man from Minnesota was thrown in the cell with him and some passed out/beaten homeless people, and the guy started talking shit to everybody in there. He started to act like he was gonna fight Brent, but Brent gave him a lecture on who they should be hating, and it wasn't each other--it was the cops--and that his anger was misplaced, and the dude sticks his hand out and is like, "I'm Randy." Brent changed his life Friday night. Eventually, I think Brent said the guy hugged him and spoke with him about spirituality. Brother-in-law Steve saved the day, though, and Brent was out Saturday morning. Thank god. I know he must have been really pissed off about the whole ordeal. I was pissed for getting pulled over once, and I didn't even get a ticket!

This happened!

Matt found a new kitty while walking across EKU's campus. He said the kitty sat on his foot. Then while he was carrying him home, he just sat there as pretty as you please. And then he gave him a bath, and he was well-behaved then too. So far, there are no litter box issues, so I believe we're keeping him. And it was only a few days ago when I said I wasn't getting any more kitties. We still haven't named him. Matt wants to name him Lonestar... I said we should name him Levon, but I really don't like that name either--I was mostly joking, because I had the Elton John song stuck in my head at the time. I don't know what to name him. He's really sweet and good. The others are getting used to him. I love his fluffy tail, but I will probably take that back when his fur is covering everything. I pulled a Tiger hair out from under my eyeball the other day, literally, and it was not so great.

I know some other things happened this weekend, but I can't recall at the moment. I'm sure I'll remember soon enough.
