Boring Life #2

Jan 26, 2006 12:30

Today the Cingular reps came to my work and brought snack trays. I love snack trays. Cheese and veggies plus veggie dip equals goodness, except the big green olives, which for some reason I'm having trouble swallowing. I also didn't bring my lunch, so it's a fortuitous event, in my opinion. I am turning up my volume, because when my coworker Phil chews his food, it sounds like he's chomping bones between his ginormous incisors and molars. He has big, flat teeth, like a herbivorous dinosaur. Hell, I probably sound the same way. Gross.

On the morning of Tuesday the 31st, Matt is going back down to Florida for a week to make money. I wish he would just find a regular job--one like the kinds the rest of normal people have. The kind where it's at least in the same state as one's residence. Thank god I don't live in Florida though. *Shudder*

Brent is coming back down to visit again today. Matt was going to stay the night in Lexington tonight, but now that he's leaving next week for Florida, he isn't. Brent is feeling down today. As you may or may not know, my dear friend Brent and his significant other finalized their divorce a couple weeks ago. I say "finalized their divorce" because they actually "broke up" several months ago, but were living across the street from each other, and still on-again, off-again. It's been kaput now, like I said, for several weeks, and despite all the fairly traumatic emotions he's going through, he's doing really well. I'm actually surprised at how good he's been at occupying himself with other productive activities. He's been going to work and school on schedule, auditioning for theatre roles, and coming down to Richmond to do drugs, watch Lost and yes, American Idol. We can't help it now. We all have favorites and everything. Paris Bennett is mine. So far. And, of course, the cowboy from Wyoming, whose name escapes me at the moment. Coincidentally, he sang an Elton John song, and Elton John is on my station right now.

I sent back Howards End today to Netflix and ordered Season 1/Disc 1 of Lost. I realize that there are only two episodes on that disc, but we MUST start at the beginning. I really need to watch The Ruling Class and Persona. I've started both of them, but haven't had the attention span for either. I halfway want to send them back without finishing them, but that would just be one more thing I bail out on, wouldn't it?

Matt Simpson, tomorrow is payday, and your reimbursement will be forthcoming in the form of fluffy green, not flat green. I WILL NOT FORGET--DON'T WORRY!
