I've been bored with myself lately, even though I've got plenty of things to talk about. Don't know how interesting any of it is, though, hehe.
I learned how to knit. I taught myself how to crochet a couple of years ago. Crochet is great, but only for certain things. In my opinion, it's very limited in how wearable it is. Crochet is great for afghans, but as far as clothing, it only works for hats, shawls, and scarves, possibly a purse. Knit, on the other hand, is VERY wearable. Practically everything is knitted! I can't wait to learn more. There are so many possibilities.
I bought all kinds of xmas decorations and presents. I am stupid in that I spent a lot of money on xmas decorations and wrapping paper, to the point I don't have much left for presents. So far, I have bought a birthday present for my dad, a xmas present for my mom, ALL of Lauren's presents, and my xmas cards to send out. I can't wait to get my cards. They are so funny. Pimps, I'm tellin' ya now, you're gonna want one, even though Rachel has roundfully rejected my attempts at getting ya'll's mailing address. And you'll BOTH be sorry if you don't get one. Should I repost my myspace bulletin asking for everyone's mailing addresses, because I only got four replies, and only one of those was from a dear friend. I don't have anyone's address, and even if I did, it would probably be out of date, considering how often everyone moves. Or do you think only four people and nobody else WANTS a card from me? Lauren, I don't even precisely know your address. Is it 212 #4? See? I don't even know my sister/neighbor's address, and I see her every day. Additionally, I said in my bulletin that I was feeling creative. That means I'm going to make something heartfelt and unique from scratch and send it, in addition to the cool-as-fuck card. I mean, I'm admittedly un-creative 99% of the time, so it isn't often that an opportunity like this will arise for you again anytime soon. The idea was this: I'd post on myspace bulletin for anyone who wanted an xmas card to reply with their address. By using myspace for this broadcast, I had a few motives: I wanted to make the offer to as many people as possible, excluding no one; I have more myspace friends than LJ friends, and all my LJ friends are myspace friends anyway, so they'd theoretically receive the request as well; and finally, myspace has a messaging system wherein people can somewhat securely send me their mailing addresses and not have to worry about the entire internet seeing it, like they would if I had posted it on LJ. So as you can see, by my below-average logic, I kindly request every LJ friend of mine WHO WANTS A XMAS CARD please send me their mailing address via myspace PMs. Eugene PMs are okay too. This sounds threatening, I realize, but I just really like all my friends, I really like xmas and its pagan rituals, and I have not only cool-as-fuck cards, but an urge to create for you.
Lauren, stop calling me at work. Phonecalls are for assholes, and nobody knows this better than you.
I am a retard. I bought an ornament the other day because it had toys all over it. I never even noticed--it was Matt who did--that it said, "Baby's First Christmas" on it. How dumb is that?! So today I have to take it back. UGH... Or does anybody know a baby with a first xmas this year? I think all my friends' babies are older. Fuck that, I'm not giving a stranger's baby an eight-dollar ornament. I'll just get one that's relevent to me.
I have decided to get cable internet while keeping the tv network-only. Rejoice!
I think I'm putting up xmas this weekend. YAY! I also think I'm going to make baked goods for all my friends for xmas, instead of buying them actual gifts. This is not necessarily the cheaper option...but it's easier to trick myself into thinking it is...
I don't have to work for the next two days. I hope everyone has a safe and yummy Thanksgiving!
