OK, Matt is gone for two weeks. I must use this time to get some shit done!!! I really want to get a lot of things organized and cleaned up. I want to throw away a bunch of clutterous shit. I wonder if I'll actually manage to do anything. I'm pretty excited about having this time to myself, so I hope I make some progress around the house. Since we may be moving sometime within the next two months, it would be a good idea to start whittling down and organizing the crap I have. I just have so fucking much crap.
I'm kind of excited about moving to Lexington again, too. I'll probably get out more. It sucks that Ide may be moving to Richmond, and Matt and Rachel keep threatening to move to Louisville. I hope nobody moves! Judging by what the landlord said, I am guessing we can plan on being in the new apartment by sometime in mid-December at the latest. How much money Matt makes in LA is what will determine our Xmas plans this year, it seems. One thing's for sure: this year I have enough Xmas decorations to not have to buy more. I may buy a commemorative ornament for the year of 2005 or something, but I don't need a damn thing this year. As un-punk as it is to like Xmas, I really can't help the fact that I do. I like to decorate and play Xmas tunes. I really love to buy presents for people. I like to fancy myself good at picking out gifts. I hope we have the means to do it this year, instead of spending everything we have on new apartment stuff. Anyway, I hope to spend more time with my friends once I move up here.
I think that I'm going to dress up for Halloween next year, and I think I'm going to be a voodoo cannibal. That would be fun.
Matt said that if he made a lot of money, he'd buy me things in New Orleans. He asked my shoe size, just in case. He also said we could buy a new mattress and bed, as well as a new couch. But that's only IF he makes enough to clear all the other crap we owe.
I sent back my Netflix before I even watched any of them. I just couldn't get into either of them. I'm going to have to re-rent them. I mean, I read all about Truman Capote in last month's Interview, so I really wanted to see In Cold Blood, but I lost interest and never even attempted to watch it. I'll try again later. Same story with Mephisto, which is supposed to be really great, not to mention has a great cover. I've got to take advantage of Matt's absence and rent lots of ancient episodes of Law & Order. I would never be able to do it if he were in town. It just wouldn't fly an inch. He said, "So it's a good thing I'm leaving," when I told him I had L&O in the queue. Before that, though, I've rented the 2-disc Bob Dylan documentary, which I can't wait to watch. Also, Matt or Rachel, did you get "Get Up Stand Up" recorded?
