Had you try to renew that? Somehow this worked for me that I could renew it a day later when the payment didn't go through.

US banks/credit cards blocked ALL transactions into Russia a few years ago, regardless of what they were for. I can't even buy a crochet pattern from a Russian designer, at this point.

LJ has been 'free pass'-renewing my account (and many others) since, because they know none of us could do anything about it. I regret not buying the permanent account the one time I had the funds, all those years ago.. ALAS.
