Y'all, if you haven't seen this yet (it's on Netflix FYI) OMG WATCH IT.

It was fantastic. Glorious. And MBB is just a continual joy.

In other news, the colonoscopy has been rescheduled by two weeks, more because I'm cheap and want to save a good $5000. But also because the last 24 hours have been a cluster and I'm going to totally end up on blood ( Read more... )

Saving 5 grand, yay! I'm sorry you need to have these tests, but the hoops our health-care system is making you jump through are infuriating.

Also glad to hear the movie is good! That was the best trailer I've seen in ages. Most of the trailers I've seen lately have been for: annoying romcoms, noisy confusing action movies, depressing social issues, horror movies that would look scarier if they gave a tiny clue what was going on, and movies that must be brilliant and visionary because the text on the trailer (not the trailer itself) told me so.

I've never really given much thought to either Henry Cavill OR Sherlock Holmes before last night, but sweet JESUS, that man, in that role, is a specimen of something else.

WOOF, yo. WOOF.

Totally impulse-bought all six of the Enola books, this morning, for the Kindle (paperbacks were all backordered on Amazon); and a full collection of all the SH stories, this afternoon, from the B&N up the street from work.

Of course, now I have to READ the damn things. XD

LOL I know the radio versions fairly well, as I pretty much mainline OTR. But, yeah... who needs focus?!

Did I not know that you were into OTR, or had I just forgotten it? I've listened to lots of it--especially detective shows--and TONS of Sherlock Holmes.

I like the ones where Harry Bartell shows up at the beginning and chats with "Watson" in retirement about Petri wine. Even though those episodes usually don't portray Watson in a very good light. [ETA] The introductory bits are just so cozy and homey.

Unknown? Channel 148 pretty much 24-7.. well, mostly in the car and at work. But, yeah..

Anything is better than those God awful Jim French ones. A lot of it is background noise, especially when the blocks repeat. Or the phone rings; or the AC kicks on; or my boss starts asking questions; or the other folks in the office have loud conversations near my desk; etc. Favorites are absolutely Johnny Dollar, Let George Do It, and Gunsmoke. And Dimension X/X Minus One

Pretty much all of it. Except for Great Guildersleeves and Baby Snooks
