Non-Essential Exempt, Day 01
Yeah. That's right...
Orange County went on two-week mandatory lockdown, last night, save essential and n-e exempt. But, if you look at the list of what's considered exempt.. it's pretty much EVERYTHING.
It's a joke, really. But, this way, they can say they did something when the governor wouldn't.
Whatever. At least I have the next two days off, regardless.
Going forward, I've been given the choice of coming in or not, so there's that. Some work, I can do from home; but a lot of work, I can't. Mostly, it's an issue of passwords and programs. But, I'm over six feet from others, most of the day, due to the layout of the office. I do feel bad for adding to the chaos at the drive-thru, but getting into the grocery store for a turkey sandwich is just awkward.
Up side, we were able to get toilet paper.
Would I like to be at home for two weeks, continuing to pretend like I'm going to upload old fic to Ao3 while staring blankly at all the landcomm challenges I've been ignoring? SURE. Would I like to continue spring cleaning/purging the apartment? YES. Would I most likely end up just playing WoW? PROBABLY.
Seriously, though: If you're starting to get twitchy, I send you love. If you've got family or friends who are sick, I send you love. If your social media accounts are beginning to strain relationships, I send you love.
And a little snoap-flavored pixie dust. ♥
