about what I could do to try and make myself post daily, like I used to.. way back when.
And I had an idea that would not only bring me some culture, but help me with the ongoing iTunes mess I'm in, which is having more music than my iPod will allow for. So, my thought is to listen to a CD a day, and the report back on it.
Granted, this will take a little bit of work, to ensure I don't get 37 straight days of Jimmy Buffett, or 49 days of Frank Sinatra (which may be an exaggeration, as I didn't check to see just how many albums I have of each of theirs, etc though Frank has a tendency to re-sing the same 20 songs, they're always different LOL) and one-off songs would be skipped.
I'm obviously limited to what I have (which, as I mentioned, is A LOT), but if there's a CD or singer/band you want me to check out, I'll see what I can do. Generally, if they've got a full CD posted to YouTube, it'll be easier, but I have have some less than reputable means, if necessary (though results are questionable)
Anyway.. I still have a few days to mull it over, but I'm glad to have your input, f-list.
EDIT: I just checked:
+ Frank albums total 100
+ Jimmy total 26
+ Beach Boys (counting Brian, Bruce, Carl, and Dennis' solo projects) total 36
+ Alice Cooper total 25
+ The Monkees total 20
+ The Osmonds (including Donny, Jimmy, Marie, and Alan's boys' solo projects) total 29
+ George Strait totals 25
+ David Bowie totals 35
+ Bee Gees (including Andy, Barry, Maurice, and Robin's solo projects) total 39
+ Bon Jovi totals 16
And so on and so on...
Now, obviously there are a few Greatest Hits-type compilations which could be skipped.. and this doesn't count the weird one-offs or songs that might have appeared as a duet on someone else's CD... but you clearly can see where the MAJORITY of my iPod problem starts......................
