hughville dropped in with some questions to fill out the open spots, and I don't feel like working through lunch, for once. So.. have some word-urpage!
July 06: When did you discover Neal McDonough? (
hughville)
November 22, 1996 - Casper WY **(edited because apparently I thought I saw the movie in the theater at college, two years before I even graduated HS. *facepalm*)
This damn Red Shirt was between me and my Captain and Number One as they walked onto the bridge....
And the only thing* that distracted me from staring at him the rest of the movie was Sir Patrick in a $&@) TANK TOP. Woof.
* okay, it was kinda hard to keep staring at him once he floated off with the interplexing beacon... though it's debatable that I did actually manage to see Angels in the Outfield at some point in the year-and-a-half prior... because who could honestly forget that
RED HAIR?! But, for the sake of the question, we'll go with commencement of the ACTUAL drooling.
July 15: When did you get hooked on WWE and who are your favorites? (
hughville)
I want to say 2007 -- it was before the Lifeguard moved to Colorado, because we were still in the second apartment. DX was doing their thing, and it was right in the middle of them just going crazy on Vince, practically nightly. Actually.. how old is Aurora? Because Steph hadn't had her yet. But, OMG the weeks leading up to the baby were wonderful. And then when she was in labor and HBK told everyone he had a theory that HHH knew who the father was.
Just everything DX was doing around then. Oh, God.. and the night they both came out dressed like Vince and Shane = GOLDEN.
HHH and HBK sucked me in; John Cena hooked me. HARD. *wipes more drool* And then there was Shane and Vince and Stephanie, Coach and JR and Lawler, Torri and Maria and - OF COURSE - Undertaker. Because OMG. I still remember, to this day, the SummerSlam when Miss Elizabeth and Macho Man got married and 'taker crashed the post-wedding exit with a chair, behind the curtain.
Those were the days.....
I haven't watched in years, honestly. I know Shane is back, which is awesome.. but I don't know who any of these new wrestlers are and, really.. just don't have the patience to find out.
July 17: How do you feel about the new Star Trek? (The reboot?)? (
hughville)
If you mean "new" as in this show they've announced - ambivalent. Mostly because I'm not going to pay CBS to watch it. If, however, your added reboot is clarifying that's the new Trek you mean.. well, buckle in. :D
#1 THAT CAST. Holy $&@) that cast. ♥♥♥ Watching Karl Urban.. it's like DeForrest was reborn. AND I WANT MORE OF IT.
#2 The plot twist - It took me a little while to get what was going on, movie-wise, especially after all the stuff happening on Vulcan. Once I figured out the plot twist = *cue angels singing*
#3 I haven't seen the newest movie yet, so I have to hold out any judgement past the ruckus a few weeks back, regarding Sulu. Which I absolutely love, FYI.
#4 Chekov was never an OMG favorite, and I really don't know Anton from Adam, other movie-wise.. but that one hurt my heart. :(
#5 Unpopular theory - I really liked Into Darkness. Yes, it would have been nice for JJ to keep with the original plotlines.. but I don't think it was a terrible movie. I also liked the twisted twist-ending there, too...
July 20: What is your favorite thing to eat? (
hughville)
Hrmm.. I would have to say it really depends on my mood, in most cases, but, generally... one thing that I have always liked and will always continue to like is PARSLEY.
Straight-up parsley (though washed.. I'm not just pulling it out of the ground, or anything)
Only one day left!
