July questions (catch-up 05)
Hey, all -- I haven't been feeling well, lately, paired with bad days at work and non-stop thunderstorms. Today's the first day since Sunday I even turned the laptop on, once home from work. o.O the to do list doesn't look like it'll get done tonight, either...
Anyway... Once again, I filled in the open days via the randomizer, so catch-up is the name of today's game!
July 02: Tea or coffee, why? (ama_ranth_827)
Tea, forever and always. Brown leaf juice, as bizarra calls it. I can't stand the smell of coffee, honestly -- it's only been the last five or so years I can even walk down the cereal aisle without holding my breath. I think it's helped spending time in Starbucks - Trenta, Shaken, Black no classic, FYI - but, yeah.. coffee just BLECH.
I prefer iced and unsweet above all things; and hot is limited pretty much to plain old boring Lipton or Earl Gray. I also like Lady Gray; and Irish Breakfast if I need a punch in the face.
Also, Sweet Tea is disgusting. I get folks like to add sugar to their tea and that is their business, but the sugar syrup McDonalds, etc add to tea and call Sweet Tea is diabetic shock-inducing nastiness. I miss living out west, where one doesn't have to clarify the kind of tea they want.
Also-also, always and only ever fresh-brewed. No fountain tea (aka Gold Peak); no powder; no bottled; and no %&#)$ lemon. Gross. Just.. gross. Publix, thankfully, brews and 'bottles' unsweet tea in gallons and half-gallons. And, really, half a glass of that and half water not only makes it last twice as long, but it also takes the strength down a notch.
AND I WILL NOT HESITATE TO CALL A DRIVE-THRU OUT ON FACEBOOK WHEN THEY GIVE ME SWEET TEA INSTEAD OF UNSWEET.
July 09: If you could invent a monster, what would it look like and what would you call it? (ama_ranth_827)
Smart-ass reply is Donald Trump and Donald Trump. Because, seriously.. what that man represents and is bringing out in people is honestly terrifying.
Serious answer is probably something that would keep one literary/cinematic monster that does actually make me physically ill on sight at bay and I don't know what I would call him, but I know he'd look like Tim Curry. But we're talking, like... Clue-Tim Curry or The Worst Witch-Tim Curry, because I need to be protected from $&$)#!Tim Curry by safe!Tim Curry.
PS: Please don't take this as an invitation to start spamming your LJs with pictures from It. I love you all and I don't want to have to unfriend/block you for mentally terrorizing me. ♥ Seriously. I would rather be forced to watch Grissom/Sara scenes with my eyes welded open Farscape-style, for eternity, than to endure even the briefest flash of Pennywise.

The Dirk Pitt Adventures by Clive Cussler. ALL OF THEM.
(please ignore the dust. I am a slob. Also, please note the first three and last three books on shelf 2 are NOT Cussler. They just filled the holes... Also there's one not there because it's in my bag)
Also the Kurt Austin Adventures, but I'm honestly only halfway through the first book (having read Book 2 first, by accident). There's also the Oregon Adventures, but I haven't gotten to them, yet.
I just really love Clive Cussler, okay??
Also, I'm sorry he didn't like Sahara, because that movie was AMAZING. SO AMAZING. Like, back when it was in regular rotation on Starz&Encore, if it came on, the Lifeguard and I stopped what we were doing and watched it. And, when it ended, one of the other feeds had already restarted it, so we'd just watch it again.

That anyone within the Kardashian bubble matters.

If I had the fortitude/skill/where-with-all, I'd want to have a pub somewhere in the middle of Ireland, where my only concern for the day is... something that is so mundane it really isn't a concern, but everyone would have a good laugh.
Maybe a sheep in someone's prize rosebush?
