It's a curse...
For whatever reason, I was up until 3am on Friday night/Saturday morning.
Saturday:
-Mom left home about 9am
-Mom arrived about 10:15am
-I tried to order breakfast at McDs around 11:45am because I didn't realize it was almost noon
-got to the old apartment around 1pm to find a lot hadn't been done by the brother. Begin Mom's huffing, raging, groaning and grumbling.
-got the last of his stuff (that we could manage that trip) into Mom's Jeep around 6:30pm-ish
-got the trash out, apartment cleaned by 7:00pm-ish; headed to Logan's for dinner
-got to the brother's apartment around 8:30pm to find out that Mom didn't have his key. Dad found it in her desk drawer when I called to ask the trick of it (she had the 'off' key) and we discovered that both her keys are for their house. This put me in the middle of a shouting match between them -Mom in front of me and Dad in my ear- *icon* Continue Mom's huffing, raging, groaning and grumbling.
-called the brother and he was able to get out of work early. I was content to sit for the extra hour, honestly - it was a nice night.
-we decided to unload, so that the Jeep was empty and we simply had to walk stuff in when he got home; once unloaded, it started to spit rain. Continue Mom's huffing, raging, groaning and grumbling. Five minutes before he got home: semi-downpour.
-finally get him squared away by 10:00ish and head back to the old apartment to pick up the stuff either going with me or Mom.
-roughly 1/3 of the way back home (10:45ish) when Dad calls to see where we are - he didn't know J got out early - and it's spitting rain (more than a sprinkle, but not a shower)
-home around midnight. I think. Straight to bed, sans emptying out the Jeep and showering, because NO. *icon* Begin Mom's convinced that the bookshelf would fall on her in the night. Really.
-not sure what time the rain started, but Oh. My. GOD! was it raining!! Mom moved into my room because of the rain. Continue huffing, groaning and grumbling. She does this A LOT.
-finally got up at 9am-ish; showered, dressed, etc., and headed for Perkins. No strawberry pie at Perkins. It's only a promotional thing. o.O WTF? We're smack in the middle of the damn Strawberry Festival and it's STRAWBERRY PIE. Start day made of fail.
-back to the apartment so Mom can get a sweatshirt and start the laundry, then we head off to 'see town'. After a rough 'three-leaf clover', we go to Lowe's to get keys made and the batteries for the toll boxes replaced. Got a neat looking plant for the patio - will take a photo in the daylight.
-back to the apartment to drop off the plant, continue the laundry, and then off to WalMart for some essentials. Got Phil Vassar's new CD (BUENO), no sight of the Alice soundtrack (NO BUENO, but not a shocker); dinner at Taco Hell and back to the apartment to finish the laundry, unpack and watch a bad football game. (o.O WTF, Chargers? You were doing so well... *facepalm*)
-went to Friendly's for dessert - hot fudge sundae was bueno - and then back. Was going to watch Stewart and Colbert from Thursday, but Mom wanted to go to bed, so I decided to get on the computer instead. Then, she came into my room to sleep, then got huffy because I didn't watch Stewart and Colbert. She has yet to give me the "it's late and no wonder you can't get up in the morning"-speech.
-tomorrow, I go to work, she'll repot the plant and do whatever she's going to do. The brother is headed to the old apartment to get the last of his stuff and turn in the keys, and then work (I think)
-I need to get the addresses changed on the phone bills and insurance. *reminds self again*
And, during ALL this - I'm mid-allergic reaction to something, for the arms and legs are covered in hives. Not sure what happened, but the itching is driving me BONZO. I look like I've got chicken pox or something.... o.O
