Hee. Stephanie's having her law school finals, and she asked me to quiz her using her international law notes. But the notes were written in case language, so I had to translate her verbal answers (i.e. "Okay, so there was this guy who did all this shit in Peru," and "So the case is about building this crazy dam,") into whatever she'd written and then say, "Um... I think that's right." She's also saying, "Arrgh! I hate boats! If there were no boats there'd be no international law!" I am never going to law school. I get confused reading my book contracts.
I've had an awesome weekend, which I'll write more about later. But I spent last night at Christina's, and Steph was apparently so busy studying she didn't even notice I wasn't home. (I didn't get the chance to tell her and she didn't see the note I left.) She was all, "Wait...you weren't here last night?" That's comforting. If I disappeared during finals, my grad student roommates wouldn't even notice!
Tomorrow it's back to business as usual, but I am in such a good mood. Tomorrow's my first full, regular day as Assistant Editor!
