This weekend, we got to see Asha and Melissa. This is a HUGE deal, because we haven't seen them in over 10 years. They are Aunt Margaret's daughters, and they live in California with their father.
Margaret has 7 children. Misty, Mindy, (Miranda) Asha, Melissa, Megan, Madeline, and James.
My cousin Kristy and I helped raise those kids, well, as well as a couple of 12-13 year olds can help. We took them out, gave them things, babysat all the time. The were just like little sisters to us (this is before James was around). When Asha and Melissa went to their father's, their mother claimed not to know how to contact them. It was devastating. I loved those girls, and to see them again made me cry. Of course, they don't remember me as well as I remember them, but it was wonderful, and I actually have email addresses now!
OK, I have to leave for work, but it felt good to get some of that out. :)
