The Da Vinci Code

Jamie came over last night to watch the rugrat so Rachael and I could go on a date. We went to Stella Blues for dinner. I got fried pickles and yummy salmon. After dinner, we went to see the Da Vinci Code at the Budget. I'm annoyed. That movie really wasn't good at all. Not that I was expecting to be blown away by its awesomeness. Parts were good, but all I could say when I walked out of the theatre was "blah."

Today is the last Saturday I work for a long time. I will not miss working Saturdays.

My place of employment is finally hiring me as an actual full time employee as of August 14th. This means BENEFITS! Yay! I get vacation and sick time! Yay! I get health insurance! Yay! So does Adrienne! But, I'm still working tech support. BOO!

So, last week I applied for a dozen or so jobs. The ONE job at the ONE employer that I actually DON'T want to work for called me last week. I don't want to move to Milwaukee. I don't want another tech support job. I didn't call him back. Of course, the jobs that I actually want... I haven't heard from them. Damn them. Anyone near Madison want to hire me? I'm real cool!

Adrienne is mostly sitting up on her own now. She can roll over one way. She can also pull herself up so she's standing with a lot of help. I can't believe how big she's getting. I hear that's what babies do, though. They just keep getting bigger. We've also started her on rice cereal. She loves it and she's really good at eating - she rarely spits her food out. No mobile baby yet. I give her a few weeks or so and she'll be crawling. She hasn't quite coordinated the arm/leg motion. She'll figure it out soon enough. We should probably start baby-proofing the apartment!
