Les modes féminines du XIXe siècle

While stumbling around the other day I came upon the NYPL Digital Gallery, and tonight I found a section on a book entitled (warning, French)

Les modes féminines du XIXe siècle, interprétées en cent pointes sèches aquarellées au pinceau, 1801-1900

There are some lovely paintings/drawings in it, and I do believe I have an inspiration for an icon batch. Maybe I'll make one out of each picture! It will take a while since there are over 100 pictures, but they are so colorful and charming, who could pass it up? The artist had a habit of drawing their women with chairs more often than not, but other than that they are well worth the look. Click on the picture above to see everything!
