Thanks! For reference for future pumpkin carving endeavors (are halloween or pumpkin carving traditions in NZ?) one consequnce of very thin pieces was is that they rot very quickly. If you want a pumpkin to last, keep it thick!
Pumpkin carving is an unknown art in NZ. Halloween as a whole is something of a sticking point. In my youth Trick or Treating was unheard of, but it's slowly increasing. This year we had maybe three trick or treaters come to the house. I don't imagine that it's very profitable for the kids, since no one is prepared for it. But I suppose we get so much American tv that it's bound to happen.
I love your costume! I dressed as a sort of Texas beauty queen with a huge wig and a tiara and TONS of makeup. I mostly just wanted a reason to buy a tiara. And now I have one. Suck it South Carolina!!! Like such as!!!!
