One armed babies, Pirate's Booty and Explosive Diarrhea
Just some of the wonderful things I experienced whilst I was in Philadelphia. Seriously, I am so depressed that I had to leave! Yes, it was that great. Danny and Claire took me around and showed me the wonders of the city, great food places, IKEA!!!!!!! I had the best time. I got to go on dog walks with Daniel, see some really neat shops, met some very nice and intelligent people, saw beautiful animals, looked at funny websites with Danny, watched Claire work (fascinating!), got bit by Smokey... everything I could have wanted.
A big thank you to Danny and Claire for putting up with my endless questions about the city and for letting me crash, they are the BEST! And a damn good couple if I don't say so myself.
The only thing I regret is not getting that shampoo bar from Lush when I had the chance. ::sigh:: now I will have to get it online.
Even though I was really happy to see Gregory when I got off the plane, (he even made me a sign with "Bumble" on it), I was upset because I was hungry and I knew I wouldn't want anything to eat here in Jax! It's true! I didn't! We ended up going to the Alehouse for wings and a pitcher of Smithwick's Irish Ale (decent).
So, my birthday is Sunday and everyone wants to know what I want to do on Friday night and what I really want to do is go back to Philly! But, alas, I will wait 6 more months and then I will be able to buy IKEA! Ok, not really, but everyone should go there at least once. I almost cried when we went, really, its that overwhelming!
Ok, I can't talk about it anymore. But it was a good trip and not that I needed any MORE convincing to get out of Jacksonville, but my adventure certainly cemented my decision! Greg can hardly wait for December so he can see Eli, or er um... Philly.
