Hacking Thanksgiving

Originally uploaded by Erin BowI finally hauled myself into the doctor on Tuesday, after a five day weekend (two sick days and the Thanksgiving Holiday Monday) failed to make a dent in the plague. Well, the plague turns out to be pneumonia. And also a sinus infection. Yuck. However, I am heavily drugged and feeling better, though deeply exhausted, all the time.
On the other hand, the following things have made me giggle this week:
- Vivian's thanksgiving outfit, left.
- James using a Tom Wolfe book as a trivet.
- The revelation that "Joe the Plummer" owes back taxes.
- Nora's sudden ability to scoot around on her belly, and her great pleasure with same.
- A phone call from my agent -- PLAIN KATE is getting big nibbles from big fish.
- Vivian singing "We are the Champions" in celebration of the above.
And now I must lie down again. *Coughs pathetically but waves with good cheer*
