Today was the first day of my new job -- being a full-time writer.
I actually didn't do much writing, but I did knock out another one of the nonsense monster poems I like so much, and hope one day to assemble into a huge Shell Silverstein-like collection which will be stolen from elementary school libraries because kids love it just that much. Also, I had coffee with some fellow work-at-home creative types and was most encouraged to see them all dressed and speaking in complete sentences, as I sometimes wonder what will happen to me over the long haul. Then I took Vivi home on the bus, supervised some valentine making, and kicked around a soccer ball with her on our suddenly snow-free street.
All in all, not much to report. Some happy noises are being made by the people working to sell PLAIN KATE abroad, which is delightful and weird and fun. (Kate goes to Paris! Taggle takes Berlin!) My US contract is supposedly almost done too.
Biggest news is that my new website is up! Check it out at www.erinbow.com, and let me know what you think.
