As we found out of friday, my ipod can crank out a pretty good dance party...
Upon further inspection, it seems that it could also be used for:
a hoedown, a skating rink, edgefest '98, a one hit wonders countdown, half of the soundtrack for the movie urban cowboy, a Quinceñera, a 90's college rock mix, a garland high school dance between 1998 and 2002, a bob dylan anthology, 97.9 the beat circa 2001...
And so much more. But what it is used for mostly is bringing happiness to me daily, and uniting people by song!
I had a spectacular weekend before going back to work on sunday morning (after 18 days off!). Drunk steff and a show/denton party with great people friday, then ft worth and surprisingly delicious vegan food with heather, charlie, and steff saturday. Great way to end my time off.
I didnt end up going to sleep at all before I opened sunday morning. I figured it would end in disaster but all it did was make me edgy and weepy around noon. Not like that doesnt happen from time to time anyway. Luckily I had Paul Guy Birt to help me with my inner turmoil. Other than that I was honestly overjoyed to be back behind the bar. I love my job, customers, and coworkers more than ever!
