Three amusing buffyverse myths I heard
1.) That the dragon in NFA (Angel) was the same one that appeared in The Gift (Buffy.) This one was said before the canon comics were written. I recall someone from the show denying it and Brian has recently too.
2.) On different boards I read a nice slashy belief that Wesley slept with Spike. Why? Because of a scene where the gang doubts how good Angel is at picking up scents. Angel sniffs Wesley and informs them that Wes slept with a bleach blond the night before. And no, the sex of the lover was not revealed. Still I expect slashers to assume that was why Wes knew who Spike was in Just Rewards.
3.) The newest one is also slashy and comes from the comics. On Scans Daily scans of Angel referring to Spike and Connor as Hollywoods' latest it couple caused one person to respond, "Spike is fucking Connor?!" It seems that some people despite having read the comic think it happened too, lol.
And let's not even get started on the Connor parentage myths. :P
