It is Fleet Week in Seattle and that means the ships have sailed in! One of my co-workers and I took a late lunch and headed down to the pier to visit one of the ships that had sailed docked. Imagine my surprise when I realized that it was the USS Green Bay (yup, named after the City of Green Bay, Wisconsin). The ship gained permission from the Green Bay Packers and the City of Green Bay to display the Green Bay Packer logo all over the ship. It was cool to tour the ship and to talk with some the personal who live/work on the ship. My main question was "how long does it take you to get used to being on the ship?" (Answer: About a Week) Followed by "Are the layouts of the ships the same or are they different?" (Answer: Depending on the class the layout would be different). Here are some picture from the ship.
