Bon Jovi and the Olympics

In under a week I am going to be at the Bon Jovi concert. I am super excited and my iPod is starting to protest all of the Bon Jovi that I have been playing. It is going to be my first huge concert and it is going to be fun.

I am watching the opening ceremonies and I think my favorite part thus far is the slam poet I think he did a great job. I wasn’t too impressed with the fiddlers and the tap dancers. I am not Canadian so I don’t know how Canadian the fiddlers and tap dancers were but I always think of the Irish (Lord of the Dance) when see those types of things. My heart broke for the Georgian team when they entered during the opening ceremonies. It is tragic what happened on the luge track today. What a horrible event and it is certainly going to be a shadow on the games.

I am excited for the Olympics and plan on staying on the couch for the weekend to watch the events. This will also help me learn what there is to do around the Olympic village so I am prepared for my trip up there.

It hard to believe that I am taking about the winter Olympics when it has been so warm in Washington…the plum blossoms are blooming here. I have seen them on my walk home from work.

music, sports, nature
