Band of Brothers and a Typhoon
I talked to my teachers at Asahi Chu and I have tomorrow off. NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY! The school still plans to have the sports festival on Saturday but I then have Sunday and Monday off. The typhoon is scheduled to hit Ami directly and that is the reason school has been cancelled. Andrea, Jana, and Kevin are also off tomorrow but the teachers who work in Moria still have to go to school tomorrow.
On Thursday nights, Kevin and Beth are having movie nights at their apartment we are watching Band of Brothers. It is a first viewing for Jana, Anne, Andrea, Pete, and I but Beth and Kevin have both watched it before. We just finished episode two and are having problems keeping the characters straight in our heads but other than that I love the show.
The weather was ok when we left for Beth and Kevin’s just a bit of rain and wind but the typhoon picked up when we were watching. The rain started coming down and the wind picked up. Andrea said it looked like a level one hurricane. I thought it was rather exciting in a scary way.
The wind is howling as I am writing and my doors are being hit with huge bursts of winds. I keep looking outside; watching the trees blow and the rain come of the near by houses. The typhoon is supposed to hit some time in the early morning.
