Busy as a Bee

I have been going non-stop today since 8:30. The minute I got to school I started working on my elementary school lesson plans for the rest of the school year and I am proud to say that I am 95% done! I also managed to get organized and I started to organize my lesson plans from the start of the year for the ALT who will be teaching at Takaku Chu next year. Right as I finished that it was time for third period which I taught, I had time to sit at my desk before I was back up to teach fourth period. I also managed to get the “Where are you from?” Karuta cards cut out and now I just need to stop by interTalk so I can get them laminated tonight. I will spend tomorrow cutting them out.

I am currently gulping down a cup of coffee to keep me awake for the next hour and a half that I will be sitting at my desk. I have no idea why I am tired but it is my first cup of coffee in ages so I am enjoying it. I am free for the next hour and a half so I am going to spend the next bit of time working on my speech for Japanese class. I am going to talk about Christmas in America.

My plans for the rest of the week involve starting to plan the rest of my life. I need to figure out what I want to do after I leave Japan: graduate school, teaching high school history, possibly something else: I have some decisions to make so I figure I better get an early start so I can apply to colleges (if I decide to go back). That is the big decision I am going to be making: What do I do after Japan?

The fun part of the next month or two is going to be planning my trips around Japan. I am slowly working on planning my trip this summer vacation. I am going to be hiking in Hokkaido and I am looking at some of the national parks to figure out where exactly I want to go. I am hoping that Jana wants to go with me she has expressed some interest. I am hoping I can put together a good argument so she will come with me. She has a better sense of direction then I do and I get lost even on trails so I need her with me to make sure I do not get lost and eaten by some form of wildlife.

Ok, I am starting to ramble the coffee is kicking in.
