Job Stuff
So yeah I am leaving Deb on the 12th, for those that haven't heard my squealing and felt my feverish anticipation. The reason being that I am entering a portion of my graduate studies, where on top of classes I will be expected to start seeing clients at the UMKC counseling center on campus, meeting once monthly with my fellow prac 1 and prac 2 students, meeting weekly with my supervisor and attending various seminars and workshops over the course of the next two semesters....on top of my regularly scheduled classes. All of which leave my evenings pretty much non-existent and my weekends devoted to homework and the husband. So yeah I need a part time day only job. I figure this will be hard to find. I still got a week left at Deb and I already have a job offer....for a job that I didn't even apply to, the guy found my resume on Careerbuilder.com (pimp that baby!). The company is Sunbelt Services and they take care of Home Depot's merchandising. It's two 8 shifts a week, during whatever daylight hours I like (probably 6-230 or 7-330) at the local Home Depot which is like 10 mins from my apartment. So yeah no more long commute, I get to pick my two days just as long as they are Mon-Fri and not the weekends and I get to basically make my own hours, within certain parameters. I work by myself, I am answerable only to my boss and I don't supervise anyone but myself. Talk about easy!!! I also get to wear jeans and tennis shoes and a nice little blue and yellow polo shirt that says Sunbelt Services on it. Whatever, I'll take it! Oh and it pays $12 an hour, a dollar more than I made at Deb. Nice! My "interview" is tomorrow AM, the guy basically gave me the job on the phone today but says he needs to see me tomorrow to start processing the paperwork. Sweet!
