(no subject)
Hi all. I'm here, alive, kicking, and all that.
We moved! (Again!) A bigger, better apartment opened up on the floor above us, so we snatched it up post-haste. We have a porch now, a small dining area, and much more room for guests (hint, hint). There are herds of squirrels outside, so the cats are entertained and happy.
The big news of late, I guess, is that Anna is going to Brussels for most of the summer to do her dissertation research. I'll be joining her for about three weeks, during which time we've planned weekend jaunts to Paris and Gothenburg. I was excited for a while about the prospect of a three week diet of Belgian fries, but then read in my guidebook last night that Belgian fries get their deliciousness from a double dip in animal fat. So nuts to that--I'll have to stick to waffles and chocolate.
Work is fine, just the usual stuff. I'm revving up for my San Francisco trip (emcee-ing and teaching at the 3-day training seminar). Anna's coming along. We're flying out a few days early, and I'm excited to actually see some sights this time around.
